Official statement of Arterium Corporation on the searches of July 16, 2025
On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, law enforcement agencies conducted searches at the Arterium office and at the enterprises that manufacture Arterium products in Kyiv and Lviv.
This is the third time in the last three years that Arterium's enterprises have been searched by law enforcement agencies, which obviously do not give them the results they expect: in 2022, Arterium's enterprises were searched without any procedural documents on groundless suspicion of collaboration; in February 2025, the enterprises of three key players in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market were searched; and today, searches and groundless accusations are happening again.
It is also worrisome that while the searches were ongoing and the investigative actions had not yet been completed, the official website of the National Police of Ukraine had already published the charges and a pre-edited video highlighting the alleged “exposure of the scheme”. At the same time, a number of telegram channels published news with accusations of “crimes”. This haste and synchronized activity in the media suggests that this is yet another information campaign prepared and aimed at destabilizing the work of pharmaceutical companies and causing reputational damage.
We declare that the information disseminated on July 16, 2025, on the website of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as in a number of Ukrainian media, contains unfounded and far-fetched accusations of the participation of companies selling their products under the Arterium brand in illegal drug sales in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Once again, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that as of February 24, 2022, all companies under the Arterium trademark have stopped manufacturing and exporting products to the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus. We adhere to the legal ban on exports to the Russian Federation and Belarus, which came into force in 2022, and consider any interaction with the aggressor country unacceptable, in particular from an ethical point of view. "Arterium has completely left these markets and does not cooperate with any Russian or Belarusian companies, contractors, institutions or authorities. We do not conduct any activities in these countries, either directly or indirectly (either through contractors or through the territory of third countries).
We do not exclude the possibility that in the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus someone may sell products in packaging similar to the products of TM “Arterium”, but we assure you that these are not the products of TM “Arterium” companies and we have nothing to do with it.
Our foreign economic contracts contain an express prohibition for our counterparties to supply our products to the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus. We have neither reliable information about the presence of certain drugs, including those with possible illegal use of our trademarks, nor any way to influence such events, if they might occur. We do not have any control over the activities of third parties that could unlawfully use our trademarks or manufacturing information without our knowledge and consent.
We regard such actions by law enforcement agencies as another attempt to exert public pressure on business, which hinders the work of pharmaceutical companies that are critical to the functioning of our country's healthcare system under martial law.
We will insist on an objective and impartial investigation that will refute any accusations against the companies that manufacture Arterium products and protect the good name of all companies that have been producing and selling effective and affordable medicines for many decades. Always in strict compliance with the law.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Arterium companies have been providing comprehensive support to the Armed Forces and medical institutions. About two hundred of our employees are defending the state in the ranks of the Armed Forces. More than 10 of our colleagues have been killed since the beginning of 2022. Our support will last as long as it takes for Ukraine to win.
