Arterium Launches First Line of Cosmetic Products for People with Diabetes
Arterium already has medications for people diagnosed with diabetes in its portfolio. This month, the list will be expanded with the DIA CURE line of cosmetic products. This includes four care products: hand and foot creams, body lotion, and toothpaste.
According to several studies, 80% of diabetes patients report that their skin is dry and less elastic, and 30% experience skin itching. Additionally, elevated blood glucose levels cause inflammation and bleeding gums, and cavities. DIA CURE toothpaste by Arterium, made with a patented European formula, has regenerative and anti-cavity properties. It is produced at the facilities of the Italian pharmaceutical company Harmonium Pharma, which is renowned worldwide for developing products for diabetes patients.
The DIA CURE creams and lotion moisturize the skin and have anti-inflammatory effects. The cosmetics were developed following the approved EU regulatory acts.
The DIA CURE cosmetic products for Arterium are developed and manufactured at the facilities of Elfa company in Ukraine. The effectiveness and action of the cosmetic products have been proven by microbiological and dermatological studies. Specifically, the challenge test confirmed the antimicrobial protection of the products, and the USE test demonstrated that the product is safe for diabetes patients.
Arterium cosmetic products for people with diabetes will also be available to consumers on the Liki 24 marketplace.
As a reminder, to support patients on their treatment journey, in addition to medications and now cosmetic products, Arterium has introduced the ProDiabet platform. This platform contains all the necessary information for diabetes patients, developed jointly with doctors. It offers more than 10 tools for organizing a healthy lifestyle, including sports training selections, a bread unit calculator, a blood sugar tracking diary, useful and tasty recipes, and sets of physical exercises.
