Treatment of skin and mucous membranes caused by Herpes simplex virus, in t. ch. newly diagnosed and recurrent genital herpes; treatment of herpes of the lips (Herpes labialis); preventive treatment of relapses of infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by the herpes simplex virus, including genital herpes; reduce the risk of transmission of genital herpes patients (when using valaciclovir as suppressive therapy in combination with compliance with the rules of safe sex); treatment of herpes zoster; prevention of cytomegalovirus infection and disease after organ transplantation.
