Arterial hypertension. Heart failure. Captopril is indicated for the treatment of chronic heart failure with reduction of systolic ventricular function, it may be also used in combination with diuretics and, where appropriate, with digitalis drugs, beta-blockers. Myocardial infarction: for short-term (4 weeks) treatment of possible assignment of captopril for 24 hours after myocardial infarction in patients with stable condition; for prolonged prevention of symptoms of heart failure drug indicated for patients with clinically stable state with asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤ 40%). Diabetic nephropathy in patients with diabetes mellitus I type, which is shown macroproteinuria.
