Malignant, posthemorrhagic and iron-deficiency anemias, aplastic anemias in children, alimentary anemia; anemias induced by toxic substances and drugs, anemias associated with vitamin B12 deficiency, regardless of the reasons for the deficiency (gastric resection, helminthic invasion, impaired intestinal absorption, pregnancy). Polyneuritis, trigeminal neuralgia, radiculitis, causalgias, diabetic neuritis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Sprue (in combination with folic acid), liver disease (hepatitis, cirrhosis), radiation sickness.
