Treatment of the mono- and mixed infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. Severe infections: sepsis, bacteraemia, peritonitis, meningitis; infection in patients with reduced immunity; in patients in intensive care units, for example, with infected burns; respiratory tract infections, including infections of the lungs in patients with cystic fibrosis; infection of upper respiratory tract; urinary tract infections; infections of the skin and soft tissues; infections of the digestive tract, the biliary tract and the abdominal cavity; bone and joint infections; infections associated with hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Prevention: surgery on the prostate (transurethral resection).
