From the student bench - to Arterium Corporation. We are resuming student internships
Fortunately, the labour market in Ukraine is gradually recovering after the full-scale invasion. However, unemployment rates remain consistently high, and companies are still suffering as a result of the ‘personnel famine’ caused by the departure of qualified employees abroad and mobilization.
Education plays a crucial role in the formation of human capital. A high-quality education system and professional development of students can positively affect the labour shortage. With this in mind, in 2023, Arterium Corporation resumed internships within the Arterium Intern Camp programme. On the one hand, the company supports young professionals and gives them the opportunity to develop practical skills and get a job. On the other hand, it raises a specialist who in the future has every chance to build a successful career in the company, which will positively affect its development.
A total of 40 students who took part in the programme get professional experience in various departments involved in the production of Arterium TM products.
Paid internship, depending on the type of activity, lasts from 3 to 6 months. During this period, students of the 3rd-4th year have the opportunity to get acquainted with the production process at the enterprises of Kyivmedpreparat and Halychpharm, to learn how medicines are developed in the research centre, to get acquainted with other processes, depending on the service in which they are interning. Each programme participant undergoes an internship with a mentor-colleague who has a considerable amount of knowledge and many years of experience in his field.
The first group of students has already completed the internship programme. The most successful trainees received certificates attesting to the completed training course. For everyone, this is an opportunity to get their first work experience and even start their career at Arterium Corporation. The first 12 interns did not miss such a chance and are already preparing to be transferred to the main staff of the company, another 6 decided to continue the internship, 14 students have not yet completed it.
As part of the Arterium Intern Camp programme, the company cooperates with ten higher educational institutions of Ukraine, in particular: the National University of Food Technologies, Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, Sumy National Agrarian University and others.
Students who would like to gain professional skills in the future by participating in Arterium Intern Camp can submit resumes on job search sites (Work.ua, Robota.ua). There they will find vacancies for interns offered by the company. The new campaign will start already in May 2024.
