Mucaltin® now available in new form

Arterium Corporation has started making its renowned antitussive Mucaltin® in the syrup form that is especially practical in the case of kids and elderly people. Mucaltin syrup may be administered to children 2 years of age and older. “When it comes to sore throat cough, primarily syrup medications are prescribed — they form a protective layer [on irritated mucosa],” Arterium Corporation's Head of OTC Development Leila Zubair said. Mucaltin® increases secretion of bronchial and salivary glands, stimulates the formation of phlegm and facilitates its removal, and has regenerative action. It is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory conditions like bronchitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchial asthma, and pertussis. To reduce the risk of allergic reactions, Mucaltin® syrup contains no colouring agents or alcohol.

The new syrup will expand Arterium's existing Mucaltin offering: Mucaltin® tablets and Mucaltin® Forte with vitamin C. The new medicinal product is available in pharmacies across Ukraine starting early December.
