Arterium Corporation empowers talented students

11 September 2015 | News

For the first time ever, Arterium Corporation has partnered with the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” to pursue a project aimed at supporting student talents.
The high school graduates that had enrolled in Chemistry and Biology bachelor’s and master’s programs on a contractual basis, were given an opportunity to compete for a chance to get the tuition covered by Arterium.
“The winners were chosen based on the following criteria: high EIT score, participation and winning places in relevant academic competitions, and if the applicant had any major financial challenges to overcome. The preference was given to the future students in the challenging family or financial circumstances—orphans, children of sole parents or those from large families, rural regions, or families with mobilised sole wage earner. We also asked the future students to write a motivational letter to tell us why exactly we should help them pay tuition,” Olga Tsapro, HR Director of Arterium Corporation, said.
Following the evaluation, four high school graduates were admitted to Kyiv-Mohyla Academy on preferential terms: three on a bachelor's (Diana Osipova, Victoria Plygun, Oleksandr Shcheglov) and one on a master's program (Tetyana Maiboroda).
Head of the Department of Strategic Development at the National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” Kateryna Maksym added: “It is the first collaboration of this kind for Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. We are grateful to Arterium Corporation for its endeavour to support students of our Faculty of Natural Sciences. We are convinced that over the first year of study we will see substantial advances from the scholarship holders, feedback, and interest from other students and applicants!”
