Original Pharmaceutical Products
Arterium reserves a special place in its portfolio for the following original products: Thiotriazolin®, L-lysine aescinat®, Tiocetam® and Urolesan®. Thiotriazolin® – is an effective madication for treatment of cardiovascular system which has a cardio-protective effect. Unlike other metabolic preparations, it has not only anti-ishemic, but also antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing effect.
L-lysine aescinat® is the only injectable aescinat medication available in Ukraine for the treatment and prevention of swelling and pain syndrome, in particular against edema of the brain and spinal cord. This medication is highly effective in the treatment of cerebral and spinal traumas, combined injuries and acute disorders of blood circulation in the brain.
Tiocetam® is a combined medication made up of thiotriazolin and piracetam and is used to treat memory disorders and loss of attention and concentration caused by cerebra-vascular diseases. The preparation also facilitates the educational process, increases indices of short-term and long-term memory.
Urolesan® – is a combined herbal-based medication which is used for treatment of acute and chronic infections of urinary tracts, urolithiasis and urine acid diathesis, chronic cholecystitis, dyskinesia of bile-excreting tracts, gallstone disease. It also has antiseptic, spasmolytic and sedative effects.
Antibacterial Drugs
As part of the Arterium Corporation, Kievmedpreparat remains undisputable national leader in the area of antibacterial drugs which have been manufactured in Kyiv for more than 60 years. These include traditional medications such as Cefazolin, Ampicillin, Amoxil® (amoxicillin), Benzylpenicillin, Bicillin-3®, Bicillin-5®, Enterocept® (nifuroxazide) as well as the modern antibiotics such as Azimed® (azithromycin), Klasan® (clarithromycin), Floxium® (levofloxacin), Gepacef® (cefoperazone), Ceftriaxone, Ceftum® (ceftazidime), Amicil® (amikacin), Kimacef® (cefuroxime), Ornizol® (ornidazole).
Herbal-based Medications
One of our top priorities is the further development of Halychpharm’s capacity to manufacture medications which either contain or are based on herbal ingredients.
As an integral part of our corporation Halychpharm has unique experience in the production of ready for use phytochemical medications as well as in the extraction of herbal substances which are utilized in the manufacture of these medicines. Brands such as Sedavit®, Urolesan®, Imuno-Ton® are household names to patients and doctors not only in Ukraine but also far beyond its borders.
Other Key Segments
A number of our medications also hold leading positions in other segments of the market including medications used for the treatment of cardiovascular and hepatobiliary problems (Thiotriazolin®), sleep disorders (Sonnat®), cerebral vascular diseases (Tiocetam®), ailments caused by mycosis (Difluzol®) and herpes (Herpevir®). The company is looking forward to promoting of medications for prevention and treatment of cardiac rate disorders with additional anti-arrhythmic, anti-ischemic and hepato-protective effects (Tiodaron®), medications for treatment of chronic cardiac insufficiency and essential hypertension (Korvazan®), as well as for a non-steroid preparation Revmoxib® for treatment of arthropathy.
New Products
We are consistently exploring opportunities for the production of generic medicines, which have proved to be very effective on leading markets worldwide and can significantly improve the quality of treatment for a vast number of patients. In 2006-2008, the production of 21 new medicines (including forms and dosage) was started. Apart from this, with the establishment of our R&D Centre and with an eye to therapeutic needs, we are focusing our resources and efforts on the development of original medicines which are easy to use combinations of well-known drugs, and likewise on the production of herbal based medications.
Veterinary Medications
The portfolio of the Arterium Corporation includes both traditional veterinary medications which have been used by veterinarians for a long period, and innovative products for treating small pets. The group of traditional medications includes well-known antibacterial drugs: Benzylpenicillin, Bicillin-3®, Bicillin-5®, Streptomycin. Moreover, considering the trends of the increased attention towards treatment of small pets, such innovative veterinary medications as Tioprotectin®, Sanoderm®, Enwire® and Bravo® were developed and clinically tested by the Arterium Corporation and produced by its enterprises.
