We are pleased to inform you that the drug Mepenam entered the list to certificate of compliance to Good Manufacturing Practice issued by the State Service of Ukraine for pharmaceutical drugs, and given for the injectable cephalosporines area of JSC "Kyivmedpreparat". We would like to recall the fact that, confirming compliance with the production conditions of manufactured medicines to international standards of pharmaceutical industry in 2011, the Corporation received national certificates of Good Manufacturing Practice for several areas. Due to the introduction of the drug to the list for certificate of 01/10/2012 production and sale of the drug have been restarted.

Mepenam ® 1.0 g № 1 - a modern Ukrainian carbapenem (meropenem) for treatment of severe (life threatening) infections. The drug has the widest range of antimicrobial activity and the strongest antibacterial effect of modern antibiotics.

Mepenam is indicated for treatment of pneumonia, including hospital, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynecological infections such as endometritis, skin and soft tissues; meningitis; septicemia. It is also used in empirical therapy for suspected bacterial infection in adults with febrile neutropenia.

Currently, it is Mepenam that is able to resist infections, which have acquired resistance to conventional antibiotics (cephalosporins, penicillins, quinolones, aminoglycosides). The medical community has been expecting for quite a long the market presence of similar product at a reasonable price, as the cost of their foreign counterparts is much higher.
